Program for Genetic Advancement Canada
The Program for Genetic Advancement Canada™ (PGAC™) is Select Sires Canada Inc.'s young sire program in Canada. Like the program in the United States, the PGAC samples young sires that have built-in qualities to be breed leaders as a result of being the products of the most highly regarded sires in A.I and out of the most elite cows in each breed. PGAC sires are randomly sampled, coast-to-coast, to ensure they are sampled on a cross section of management systems in various geographic locations. The majority of Select Sires's current proven lineup started their career as a PGA™ young sire.
How to Enroll in the PGAC ProgramQualifying dairy producers who are interested in participating in this program are encouraged to contact their local Select Sires Canada Inc. representatives.
